Trosnant House and Ty Quaker
Working in partnership with Melin Homes for the first time this refurbishment project ticked all the boxes.
This scheme consisted of a full structural refurbishment of two dilapidated buildings in the centre of Pontypool. Both buildings had been out of use for a number of years and a collaborative effort between Melin Homes and CJ Construction (Wales) Ltd, supported by Welsh Government Vibrant and Viable Places funding, allowed for much need regeneration to the local economy, and more importantly to the residents of Pontypool.
Across both buildings 10 no. 1 bed flats were created, but the former buildings allowed for large rooms with high ceilings and specifically striking features that you simply don’t find in new build schemes.
The design team consisted of CFW Architects and Smarts Engineering.
